The following are the core beliefs of Louisville Church based on the foundational truths taught in the Bible. All of our teaching and ministry is rooted in and flows out of these Biblical doctrines.
Statement of Faith
LOUISVILLE CHURCH
Statement of Faith
We believe:
1. In one God eternally existing in three persons, namely, the Father, Son and the Holy
Spirit.
2. That Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of the Father; conceived of the Holy Spirit;
born of the Virgin Mary. That Jesus was crucified, buried, and raised from the dead, and
that He ascended to heaven and is today at the right hand of the Father.
3. In the Divine inspiration of the Bible and the evidence of God through His book of
creation.
4. That all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, and that repentance is
commanded by God for all, and necessary for forgiveness of sins.
5. That justification, regeneration, and the new birth are formed at and by faith in the
blood of Jesus Christ.
6. In sanctification subsequent to the new birth, through faith in the blood of Christ;
through the Word and by the Holy Spirit.
7. In water baptism by immersion, and all who repent should be baptized in the name of
the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, for the forgiveness of their sins and
the gift of the Holy Spirit.
8. Holiness to be God's standard of living for His people.
9. In the participation of the Lord's Supper, or Communion, each week by the saints.
10. In the sanctity of life and that life begins upon conception.
11. In the sanctity of marriage and that Biblical, godly marriage consists of one man and
one woman, brought together to mimic the picture of Jesus Christ as the Bridegroom
and the church as the Bride.
12. In the bodily resurrection: eternal life for the righteous, and eternal punishment for
the wicked.
